You may have heard that you can find a well-paying gig without a college degree, but which ones are out there and how much do they pay? Online salary database PayScale.com has created a list of jobs that can be obtained without a degree and boast salaries of over $60,000. It turns out that there are a wide variety of options available.
 
 
Safety Coordinator

Median Annual Salary: $66,100
 
If you have an interest in construction, infrastructure, and safety, perhaps you would be well-suited to the career of a safety coordinator. Responsible for safety training, inspection, and various other construction site tasks, a skilled safety coordinator could find work on most major construction projects.
 
Educational background: Interested in this field? If you have a high school diploma, three years of experience on a construction site, and have successfully completed the health and safety courses required to become a construction safety officer (CSO), you are on your way.
 
Records Manager

Median Annual Salary: $65,200
 
Are you extremely organized and detail-oriented? Consider then a career as a records manager. Responsible for overseeing and organizing documents, you could work in a variety of environments, from businesses to school districts.
 
Educational background: Though hard work could secure a place for you within this field, candidates must have at least a high school diploma and are usually required to hold a diploma of vocational or technical studies in administration or a related sector. Start out in record keeping and work your way up to management. There are also various seminars and certifications you can take to enhance your CV so stay focused and continue learning.
 
Web Content Specialist

If you have an eye for copy editing and enjoy writing, you might enjoy a career as a web content specialist. Responsible for creating engaging web content, this fast-paced industry offers variety and growth potential.
 
Educational background: This profession can be largely self-taught. Learn the latest in web design, programming, and blogging platforms and start setting up websites for friends. Build a portfolio and get your foot in the door. 
 
 Respiratory Therapist

Median Annual Salary: $61,900
 
Specialized patient care can create a rewarding and lucrative career. Respiratory therapists are certified to care for patients who suffer from cardiac and pulmonary distress, providing oxygen, managing life support, and administering medication. 
 
Educational background: Respiratory therapists often graduate from a three year program offered at many community colleges. However some institutions also offer four-year respiratory therapy degrees as completion options. Most jobs require applicants to be members of the Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists. To become a CSRT, you must write the CSRT National Examination, successful completion of which earns your Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials.
 
Dance Teacher

Educational background: Start dancing. As with many things in life, if you work hard and dedicate yourself to your passion, opportunities should arise. Get out there, specialize in your favorite style, and dance your way into a studio teaching position or, if you’re extra ambitious, open your own studio.
